JYJ to promote 17th ASIAD in Vietnam
(VOV) – The famous South Korean band JYJ will arrive in Vietnam on October 24 as part of promotion for the 17th Asian Games (ASIAD) in 2014.
Lim Byung Tae, Director General for the 17th ASIAD’s Public Relations, said Hanoi’s Vietnam National Convention Centre will host the event on a scale sure to excite anticipation ahead of the continent’s biggest sports occasion.
JYJ and the 17th ASIAD’s mascot will appear alongside Korean art, costumes and traditional dance performances, as well as cultural exchanges.
Admission is free.
JYJ are currently recording the theme song of the 17th ASIAD, titled “Only One”. It was written to express Asian unity, regardless of lingual and cultural difference.
“Only One” will be officially released to Asian fans on September 16.
The 17th ASIAD will take place in Incheon City, the RoK, from September 19 to October 4 in 2014.
The ASIAD’s organising board selected JYJ’s three members Jae Joong, Yoo Chun, and Kim Jun Su as the official ambassadors of the event.

2014 Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC, President Kim Young-soo) released teaser video of JYJ’s Incheon Asian Game song ‘Only One’ on the official Incheon Asian Games YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/Incheon2014).
Since their appointment as official ambassador of 2014 Incheon Asian
Games last February, K-pop trio JYJ has actively participated in the
making of the song for Incheon Asian Games and its music video to be
enjoyed by Asians worldwide.
The teaser trailer is a bright, upbeat video which encourages
everyone to cheer for Incheon Asian games and feel the moment of glory
together with JYJ, arousing anticipation until the release of the full
song.
“Only One signifies our aspirations to unite different
races, languages, and cultures of Asia into one,” said Kwon Kyung-sang,
Secretary General of IAGOC, “Through Incheon Asian Games, we
hope that we can be respectful of our differences and seek to overcome
barriers into a brighter future.”
The full version of ‘Only One’ song and music video will be released
on September 16th, the date which marks approximately 1 year till the
opening of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. The release will be followed by
JYJ’s promotional activities in the Asian region.
