(VOV) – The famous South Korean band JYJ will arrive in Vietnam on October 24 as part of promotion for the 17th Asian Games (ASIAD) in 2014.
Lim Byung Tae, Director General for the 17th ASIAD’s Public Relations, said Hanoi’s Vietnam National Convention Centre will host the event on a scale sure to excite anticipation ahead of the continent’s biggest sports occasion.
JYJ and the 17th ASIAD’s mascot will appear alongside Korean art, costumes and traditional dance performances, as well as cultural exchanges.
Admission is free.
JYJ are currently recording the theme song of the 17th ASIAD, titled “Only One”. It was written to express Asian unity, regardless of lingual and cultural difference.
“Only One” will be officially released to Asian fans on September 16.
The 17th ASIAD will take place in Incheon City, the RoK, from September 19 to October 4 in 2014.
The ASIAD’s organising board selected JYJ’s three members Jae Joong, Yoo Chun, and Kim Jun Su as the official ambassadors of the event.
